So what’s a Dead Rise? Think lobster boat: V Hull in the front and flat bottom stern. A quick conversion from wheat to rye malt in this old German standard produces unstoppable mouth feel, prolonged malt flavors and banana overtones. Add a heavy hand of Perle hops with a couple extra notches of octane and boom: You get an IPA/Weizenbock mix that’s sure to please.
